Since the legislature shows no sign of returning before January, it appears a decision on how to develop the NYS Health Insurance Exchange would be stalled until then. But according to a Crain’s report today, the Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) suggested that Gov. Cuomo might issue an executive order to lay out a plan for implementing the health insurance exchange. At a recent work group meeting, the MRT mentioned that Rhode Island issued a resolution to set up the exchange as to bypass the legislature. In NY, the Assembly passed the Governor’s Program bill in June but the Senate has not yet acted on it. Read more from Crain’s Health Pulse.
