The Albany Times Union reported today that Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s budget director, Robert Megna, is notifying state agencies that next year’s budget will be held to a 2 percent increase. The only additional increases will be made in Medicaid and K-12 education.
Each state agency is responsible for submitting their spending requests for the upcoming budget cycle; Megna advised them to submit “zero growth” requests.
