Nearly 37,000 Enrolled in State’s Health Exchange

The New York State Department of Health today announced that more than 37,000 New Yorkers have fully enrolled in  a health insurance plan since NY’s Health Exchange, the New York State of Health (NYSOH), launched on October 1.

Additionally, almost 174,000 individuals have completed the application process and were determined eligible for health insurance plans.

The State has not experienced the long-term technical problems plaguing the federal government’s web portal. The State’s site experienced an overload of visitors on opening day, which shutdown the exchange, but that was remedied within a couple hours.

To be covered by January 1, 2014, you must enroll by December 15, 2013. Below are links to help with the process.
